SOCIAL VIDEOS
SOCIAL VIDEOS
My experience at Ashley Furniture ranges from concepting + creating social videos, set decorating, concepting + shooting for broadcast/CTV, experiential events, and concepting for campaigns.
Take a peek at some of my favorite social videos, to date.
It’s all about the trick shot.
This began with a crazy idea, and ended up as a masterpiece. It took quite a bit of brain power and planning to get it juuust right. But the result was better than I could have imagined.
From phone, to home
If only shopping online was really this easy…
A Legendary Event
Our experiential marketing team engaged in a year-long partnership with Pandora where we would host a large event, once a quarter in 2022. These events would feature shoppable spaces showcasing the latest trends in interior design and decorating. The draw to the events were big-name artists and unique vendor experiences. This particular event featured none other than John Legend. We had the honor of interviewing him along with other well-known influencers such as the cast of Selling Sunset and Adrian Baillon.
‘So Sick’ of boring Influencer Vids
When we partnered with Ne-Yo to revamp his home studio, I didn’t want to settle for your average celeb feature. Lucky for me, Ne-Yo was more than happy to participate in a TikTok-style video for our contest promotion assets.
So what’s the tea?
When Pinterest Predicts told us “Tea time is the new happy hour” for content in 2022, we knew we had to incorporate it into our social strategy. By why just do a typical tea party when you could fill a wall full of flowers?
So Small. So Cool.
Ashley partnered with Apartment Therapy for a pop up in NYC, featuring 20+ different rooms designed for small space living. Additionally, each room was designed by a well-known interior designer. We were delighted to have designer, Alvin Wayne, design our Ashley Small Space Patio. The rooms in the event were featured on a shoppable Apartment Therapy landing page, so I created this video to showcase the page and what you could buy to make your patio look just like this.
The “awww” factor
I mean, who WOULDN’T want to buy this very adorable, very chic dog sofa after seeing this video?
Gamers, unite.
Gaming is another huge trend that forecasters were telling us to take advantage of. While shooting gaming content for our print and digital catalogs, I was able to capture some social content that was used in both paid and organic pushes.
Trend alert: Biophilic Design
When Pinterest told us this would be a top theme of 2022 for nearly every industry, we implemented it into more than one seasonal campaign. Beginning with summer we shaped our digital content around Biophilic design: the art of bringing the outside in. Summer was an obvious statement by filling the home with plants, then transitioned into fall and holiday by implementing more neutral, festive botanicals.
Tricks are for Kids
They say never work with kids or animals on set…so naturally, I didn’t listen, and asked a kid to do a jump transition. Took a few tries, but she was a natural. This video was shot for our Back to School campaign.
Southern Hospitality
Ashley has a partnership with an owner of an AirBnB in the outskirts of Nashville. To show off the space that is filled, top to bottom, with Ashley products, we hosted a small BBQ and invited local influencers to come post about the space and encourage their followers to shop the rooms.
Home Hacks
Sure, selling furniture is our #1 goal, however, organic social is meant to be fun, entertaining, and who doesn’t love a good hack? I concepted and created this fun hack to turn storage bins into an easy and beautiful way to have a backyard picnic.
In-Store Promo Ads
Ads are just an empty money pit if your creative isn’t engaging the audience. With a short timeline and few resources, we knew we needed to show off the Black Friday in-store deals as creatively as possible. We hired a couple of local influencers to come into our store and show off some of the items featured in the sale. Using fun transitions and keeping the graphics minimal, we were able to create one of the best paid ad campaigns to date.
TikTok Made Me Do It
Staying up on trends is one of the #1 parts of the job in the digital content space. After seeing a handful of creators and influencers creating these “collage videos” I knew this was about to be a trend brands would soon be jumping on. I traveled to NYC to shoot a partnership with Ashley and POPSUGAR for a holiday initiative. Jumping on trends like this makes for an easy way to have fresh, fun content, but can utilize assets other than video.
So Sleepy. So Adorable. So Luxe.
While shooting for our Reintroducing Ashley Sleep campaign, I took advantage of the situation and brought my dog to set. And it turned out adorable. Also, it’s a good thing I did because a clip from this video (shot on iPhone) is now being repurposed in a National Broadcast Spot. Yep, I’m one proud mama and content creator.
